How it all began...

I was 16 and spending my year abroad in USA. My family had a siamese cat called Sy and from the day one I was in love with her. We became very close and my heart was broken when I was returning to home and could not take her with me due her high age. I already knew then, that one day I will have a cat like her again.

Years passed, but the idea of my own oriental did not disappear from my mind. Finally couple years ago I began the search with many disappointments and almost gave up hope. Then a friend of mine, Wiolka, introduced me to Marzena in a catshow. Day later I was visiting her and that was the time I met Kira the first time. This little hooligan was running around like crazy with her sister, and when it was about time to leave, she finally settled down on my lap and started purring. I was still bit unsure, but on that night she appeared to me in my dreams and I called her with name "Kira"... I knew we were meant for each other. I do not know how the name came to me, but it has variety of meanings in different languages and cultures. In Hindi and Sanskrit origins it means "beam of light" from where it evolved in Egypt to "like Ra, the sun" and later in Greece to mean "lady". In Russia this name means "beloved, mistress, ruler". And I think it is everything that Kira is.

Took us over 1 month to get Kira home. But the wait was worth the effort. First night she slept right on top of me, the spot she still sleeps today.

Before Kira we had only housecats, from which Lilith The Mighty Minikitten has been in multiple shows and created her own internet site. Housecats are still very important part of our lives, and will stay like that. We try to promote the idea of "housecat is nothing less than a breedcat" & "housecat can also be a showcat" via Liliths blog.

We do plan to start breeding OSH/SIA in near future and hope to see first litter out from Kira soon.
